I just got back from a nice relaxing Mexican holiday (the first time I’ve ever gone to Mexico). The trip was fantastic, and I spent a lot of relaxing time on the beach reading and catching up on my reading on my Android tablet. Then I came home to CES already being in progress. Here are nine of the best articles that I read and wanted to share:

• 10 Web Predictions for 2012 – SitePoint has some interesting predictions for web designers and developers. Most of these are pretty safe predictions and the one I hope comes true is that IE6 and IE7 will finally die.
• What Google Should Do in 2012 - Gina Trapani of ThinkUp, host of This Week in Google and self-proclaimed “Google fangirl” has a good look at what Google needs to do this year to stay ahead of the competition across Google’s many products.

• How Often Should I Charge My Gadget’s Battery to Prolong Its Lifespan? – I’ve been wondering for a while about the best way to care for the batteries in my electronic devices. This article gives the most solid advice I’ve seen on this topic, and isn’t just speculation based on user experience.
• Top 10 Under-Hyped Web Apps – I like to find and play with new web applications. There are so many cool and useful tools out there for free (or low-cost) that can make like easier.
